New Year's Eve Bars in Itaewon/Hongdae

Looking for festive bars or those offering drink packages for New Year's Eve in Itaewon or Hongdae. Any suggestions?

Itaewon's always a crazy scene on New Year's Eve. Expect packed bars, but you'll find plenty with drink specials – just wander around and check menus. Hongdae might be a slightly less frantic atmosphere, but still expect crowds. Look for places with advertised NYE parties – a lot of clubs and pubs will promote them in advance. Checking online listings closer to the date will probably yield the best results.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Itaewon on NYE is legendary (or infamous, depending on your tolerance for chaos!). Good tip about checking menus for specials – hadn't thought of that. I'm leaning towards Hongdae now, just for a slightly less insane experience, but still want a good party vibe. Thanks!

Haha, that's hilarious! Relentless elevator jazz fusion? Sounds like a fever dream. I've never heard of anything like that in a Seoul hotel before. Maybe they were having a bit of a wacky experiment with mood-setting? Or possibly someone just really, really loves that particular jazz fusion album. I bet there's no deep, hidden meaning, just a slightly off-kilter playlist choice. It's definitely a story you'll be telling for years though! Good times.
