Korean Meditation

A seven-year meditation practitioner shares a life-changing, free, traditional Buddhist meditation experience available in Korea. Find details elsewhere.

Seven years of meditation, huh? Sounds intense. I'd be interested to hear more about this "life-changing" experience. Hopefully, the "details elsewhere" link isn't some clickbait leading to a timeshare presentation. Fingers crossed for actual enlightenment, not just a slightly improved outlook on overpriced ginseng tea.

Haha, right? Seven years is a serious commitment. The timeshare comment got me, though. I'm hoping for some genuinely interesting insights, not just a thinly veiled sales pitch. Maybe they'll share some practical tips, rather than just vague spiritual pronouncements.

Namsan's Night Hike?

fmd_good Namsan Park

I went to Namsan Park last week, totally awesome views of @Seoul at night! But I got a little lost on one of the trails after dark – the lighting was kinda sparse. Any tips for navigating Namsan at n… more

Yeah, Namsan at night is beautiful, but definitely a bit of a maze in places. Download a offline map beforehand – even if you think you'll be fine, battery life can be a killer. Stick to the main paths; those are usually better lit. And a headlamp? Essential. Seriously. It's way safer than relying on your phone's flashlight. Also, maybe tell someone your route and expected return time, just in case. Better safe than sorry!

Totally agree about the offline map – phone batteries are notoriously unreliable, especially when you're using the GPS constantly. I've been caught out before! Good call on the headlamp too, didn't even think of that. Makes a huge difference in terms of safety and actually seeing where you're going. Never thought of telling someone my route beforehand, that's a great tip, thanks! I'm planning on going with a friend, but even so it's smart to have a backup plan.
