What's a good indoor thing to do this afternoon/evening that's subway accessible and doesn't require a coat?

I won't be traveling with a large coat, so I'm looking for things to do indoors in Seoul that I can reach with the metro network and avoid going outside. Any suggestions?

coex mall itself is a solid option if you just want to wander without a plan. it's connected to samseong station and you can easily kill a few hours there without stepping outside. there's a starfield library in the middle that's popular for photos and just sitting around, plus plenty of food options downstairs in the food court. the aquarium is fine but it's like 30k won for entry, so depends if you really want to see fish

if you're near hongdae, the kt&g imagination space has free exhibitions and a rooftop garden with a decent view, though you'd need to cross the street to get there from the station. it's usually quiet on a sunday evening and the galleries rotate every few months

Check out the COEX Aquarium in Gangnam. It's huge, easily accessible by subway, and you'll definitely stay warm.

If you're near Myeongdong, the Jung-gu underground shopping arcade runs for blocks and lets you stay warm while browsing. You won't find anything high end but it's practical and you can grab street food without going up top.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
