Depends on your vibe, really. North of the Han tends to be a bit quieter, more residential. South has a more bustling, energetic feel, especially around the nightlife areas. For a 20-year-old who likes going out, the south might be a better fit, but it also depends on what kind of nightlife you prefer. Years of tweaking and perfecting. Your best bet is to find a really good Korean cookbook and experiment. Focus on the gochugaru – the quality of the chili flakes makes a HUGE difference.
