My landlord's a real piece of work.

If i dont answer her call bcs im in class or im asleep she would just open the door and get in and tell me that she's gonna keep bringing people whenever she wants. Yesterday i was taking a shower and luckily i took my phone inside with me and she was standing next to my apartment and calling me i told her no dont come im taking a shower it was 2:30pm she said okay i will come at 3pm like i had to rush my shower bcs i dont want someone getting on me like that also first time she did i didnt know so my clothes were over the place and i had money on the table as well as my jewelry so im like what if a bad person gets in and steals my stuff... Do you guys think what she's doing is okay

honestly the fastest fix here is just changing the door lock code. most of these older Seoul villas and officetels use a 4 digit keypad and the landlord keeps a master or the same code for every unit. swap it to your own for the last week, text her the new one when you hand back the keys. technically you're supposed to restore it but nobody checks and it stops the 2:30pm surprise visits immediately.

also take photos of your room + any valuables now, dated. if something goes missing during one of her little tours you'll want that paper trail for the 보증금 fight later.

what she's doing is actually illegal here, not just rude. under the 주택임대차보호법 your landlord can't just enter whenever, she has to give you notice & get your consent except for emergencies. the showing-people-around part especially needs your ok since you still have the lease. next time just say no and if she pushes it call 112 or the 주택임대차분쟁조정위원회, they handle exactly this stuff

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
