English ice hockey for kids in Gangnam?

Problem is that everything is in Korean and the boy has trouble following the teacher. Does anyone know any English ice hockey clubs in Gangnam? Or where to find an English speaking 1:1 coach? Thanks in advance.

honestly at that age the language barrier is less of an issue than you'd think, the coach just needs to know basic commands like "skate" and "stop". try the ice rink at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in samseong-dong, they have a few foreign coaches floating around and the front desk speaks english well enough to ask. also check the Seoul Foreign School or Yongsan International School community boards online, lots of expat parents post tutor recs there.

Gangnam's got some fancy stuff, but finding youth hockey might be a bit of a search. Check out any international schools in the area, they often have clubs. Failing that, look for general ice skating rinks; sometimes they'll have associated programs.

You might have better luck finding an English speaking coach through an expat Facebook group like Seoul Hounds or Expat Moms in Seoul. People post recommendations for all kinds of kids activities there.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
