A 27F Korean looking for someone who's up for a girls' night out... or something like that this Saturday!

Don't care where we go out as long as it's Seoul, and the two things that I look forward to is some cocktails & hookah, and everything else is pretty much up to you! (If you don't know / don't care, then I'll find something to do)

It's been decades since I actually talked in English - a bit exaggerated, tbh - but I guarantee I'll understand like 80% of everything you sayπŸ˜† DM me if you're interested!

if you're up for something a bit different from the usual hongdae spots, try the rooftop at the four seasons in jongno. not cheap tbh, but their lychee martini is legit and the view over gyeongbokgung at night is unreal. they have a cigar lounge downstairs too, not hookah but the vibe is classy and way less chaotic than the usual saturday crowds

honestly if you're looking for a more relaxed vibe than hongdae, check out the alley near sangsu station exit 3. there's a spot called loundry that does killer gin cocktails and they have a small smoking room out back. not a full hookah lounge but way less crowded on saturdays

Sounds fun, I'm 28F and always down for cocktails and hookah. There's a chill spot in Hongdae called Cafe Sukkara that does both pretty well if you're into that vibe.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
