Does anyone know where I can buy a few posters without having to buy an album?

I like K-pop, I don't really buy/collect albums or merch for myself so I'm at a loss here. My cousin requested some BTS posters as a gift. I bought her an album (Skool Luv Affair, great choice for a 12 year old just getting into K-pop!) but while looking for posters in Myeongdong I noticed that most of the places that I've been to (Music Korea, 부루의뜨락, etc.) only give posters with the purchase of an album. I also don't know who her favourite member is so I'm looking for posters that have the whole group on them, but not collages (I found some which were just collages of all the members, but I'm pretty sure she wants legit posters). I am determined to figure this out! Preferably physical stores, but if there are online stores please let me know. Any help would be much appreciated <3

the underground shop at Express Bus Terminal station is worth a look, they have a kpop section near the food court that sells loose posters for about 4,000원. i've seen bts group shots there a few times, not just the collage ones

also check Aland in Hongdae, they sometimes have a small rack of official posters near the register. it's hit or miss but they're usually 5,000원 and not tied to album sales

try the kpop merch street in Myeongdong near exit 6, not the main spots. there's a tiny unmarked shop on the second floor above a tteokbokki place that sells loose posters for 3,000원 each, no album needed. it's easy to miss but they have a solid BTS section with group shots

for online, GMarket Global has official poster listings from Korean sellers, just search "BTS 포스터 단품" and you'll find them for around 4,000-5,000원. shipping adds up but it's reliable if you're not in a rush

Head to the K-pop merch street in Myeongdong near exit 6 if you haven't already checked the smaller unmarked shops there. There's a tiny second-floor spot above a tteokbokki place that sells standalone posters for about 3,000 won each, no album purchase needed. It's easy to miss but they usually have a solid BTS section with group shots. For online, Bunjang or Karrot Market are good for people unloading their freebie posters from album buys, just search "BTS 포스터" and filter by location for fast shipping.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
