However, the lease on my current place is ending soon, and my jip-ju-in won't allow a 2-3 month extension. I'm worried about what to do in this situation. Any advice?

If you're near Ewha or Sinchon, check the notice boards at the university area convenience stores and cafes. Students often post sublet offers there for their own rooms during winter break, sometimes with no deposit required. I've seen a few go for as low as 200k a month in Ewha's back alleys, but you'll need to be quick and read Korean well enough to call the number.

yeah goshiwons are good but if you want a bit more space, check facebook groups like "seoul housing" or "korean roommates". tons of people subletting their places for winter break since theyre going home. way cheaper than proper contracts and no deposit headaches

honestly look into goshiwons or one-rooms near hongdae or sinchon. there are a lot of places that do month-to-month contracts, especially during winter when demand drops. i stayed in a goshiwon near hongdae station for 3 months once, paid about 400k per month including utilities. just search "단기 원룸" on 직방 or 다방 and filter by short term, tons of options pop up

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
