Does anyone know of any good stores in Seoul that sell baggy suits for men?

If you're looking for baggy suits in Seoul, hit up the Dongdaemun area. The Myeongdong side shops like Doota and Migliore have a ton of streetwear brands that lean into that oversized look, and you can haggle a bit on prices. For something a bit more polished, check out the shops in Hongdae near the main street, there's a place called Covernat that does relaxed fits with nice fabrics. Just keep in mind that Korean sizing runs small, so you'll probably want to go up a size or two.

honestly? skip dongdaemun for suits unless you want cheap fabric that'll fall apart after two wears. check out the basement level at lottie world mall in jamsil, there's a korean brand called system homme that does oversized tailoring really well. their blazers are around 200-300k won which is way less than us prices for similar quality. also walk around seongsu-dong, a few smaller shops near the seongsu station exit 4 have been doing that loose 90s y2k silhouette lately

fwiw the cheapest bet is actually going to a tailor in itaewon, there's a few spots on usadan-ro that'll do a custom baggy suit for around 300k won if you bring a reference photo. way better fit than off the rack since korean brands tend to cut slimmer even in their "oversized" lines. just give them like 4-5 days to finish it

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
