honestly youd prob have the best luck at The Wolfhound in Itaewon, its an irish pub that usually shows F1 races on their big screens. they do decent pub food and the crowd is usually a mix of expats and locals who get into it. just check their schedule or call first since they sometimes prioritize premier league if theres a game on at the same time.

if not there, Scrooge Pub near Noksapyeong station is a backup, they have a ton of screens and are pretty chill about putting on whatever you want. both are walkable from each other so you can hop between if one is too quiet.

The Wolfhound is your best bet, but it's worth knowing they have a sister pub called The Craic House in Hongdae that also shows racing. It's a bit more lively on a weekend night if you want to eat and hang out rather than just sit and watch. The food is similar pub fare but the area has way more to do after the race ends.

For something different, check out Craft Hans in Mangwon. It's a proper craft beer spot with a projector and the owner is a motorsports fan. He'll usually put the race on if you ask, and the fried chicken there is miles better than what you'll get in Itaewon. Take the subway to Mangwon station, it's about a 5 minute walk from exit 2.

If you're near Gangnam, try Bull 'n Barrel in Yeoksam. It's a western style sports bar that usually has a good crowd for race weekends and they'll put the audio on if there's no big football match. The buffalo wings are solid and they've got Korean fried chicken too.

The Austin GP starts at 4am local time so keep that in mind. Most places won't open that early unless they're specifically doing a viewing party. The Wolfhound in Itaewon is the only spot I know that reliably opens early for F1, and they do breakfast. You might want to call ahead to confirm because their schedule shifts with Premier League timing.

this is a solid list, one thing i'd add is that the t-money card also works for the airport railroad express (arex) and you can get a discount if you buy a "climate card" from the subway machines for like 62,000 won a month, unlimited rides on seoul metro and buses. also, for free stuff, the seoul city wall hiking trail from naksan park gives you amazing views of the city and bukchon without paying a thing, plus it's way less crowded than namsan. gwangjang market is great but go for the sundubu (7000 won) at the stalls in the back, not the front ones near the entrance which are pricier for tourists

honestly the guide nails it, one thing i'd add is that the t-money card deposit is refundable at any convenience store when you leave, most people forget and just toss it. also for free stuff, the seoul philharmonic does free outdoor concerts at seoul plaza in spring and fall, just show up with a blanket. if you're near hongdae on a friday night, the playground area has buskers that are genuinely talented, way better than the overhyped clubs

i live here and a few things this guide nails. one tip that saves me money is the "climate card" for 62,000 won a month, unlimited subway and bus, even works on the airport express if you're staying a while. for cheap eats, skip the main streets in hongdae and go into the alleys behind the art center, there's a place that does dwaeji gukbap (pork soup) for 7,000 won and it's way better than the tourist spots. also, the seoul city wall trail from naksan park is free and gives you killer views without the namsan tower price tag, way less crowded too
