Budget is high. Ideally looking for a Korean brand but other good suit designers or something similar would be welcome too.

Thanks in advance!

ngl you should check out the Bum's in Myeongdong. it's a custom tailoring shop that's been around since the 70s, they do incredible women's suits with really clean lines. the owner speaks decent english and they'll measure you up on the spot, pick fabrics from their basement stash. expect to pay around 1.5-3 million won for a full suit, takes about 3 days. way more personal than department store shopping imo

For high-end Korean suiting, hit Apgujeong Rodeo Street. Brands like J.ESTINA and AVOUAVOU do really sharp women's tailoring with that clean Korean silhouette. If you want something more avant-garde, push into Hannam-dong and check out the showroom for J Koo, his cuts are architectural but still office-appropriate. Most of these shops operate by appointment so call ahead, and budget around 2-5 million won for the good stuff.

If you're in Gangnam, stop into the Shinsegae Department Store in the Express Bus Terminal area. The womenswear floor has a dedicated section for Korean suiting brands like SYSTEM and O'2nd that do really clean, tailored cuts. The personal shoppers there speak English and can pull pieces from different brands for you to mix and match. For something more exclusive, make a reservation at the RECTO flagship in Cheongdam, their blazers have that sharp Korean shoulder line but the fabrics are lighter and more breathable.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
