Help me buy ice hockey tickets?

I'd like to buy tickets but need a Korean ID Registration number... I asked the concierge at our hotel to help but he couldn't either.

Any ideas how I get these tickets? Can anyone help? We can also try to hit the box office on the day-of, but would be sad if it was sold out. Anyone a hockey fan and can tell me if we should just roll up on Saturday and expect to pay for a ticket?

Thanks!

The box office at Anyang Ice Rink opens about 90 minutes before puck drop and they usually have walk-up availability for regular season games. You'll need cash or a local card though, international credit cards don't always work at the kiosk. If you want to be extra safe, try calling the HL ticketing hotline at 1544-1900 and ask if they can put a pair aside for foreign pickup.

honestly you're overthinking this, anyang hockey is not the hot ticket in seoul. regular season games rarely sell out, i've walked up 15 mins before faceoff and got seats just fine. the box office takes cash and korean cards but if your concierge couldn't help with the online system the box office is your best bet anyway. just get there by 5pm for a 6pm start and you'll be fine

Yeah you'll probably be fine just showing up for the box office that day, Anyang hockey isn't usually a super packed crowd unless it's a playoff game.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
