So I need a T Money card for 2 days as tourist?

Visiting Seoul for 2 days while transiting between Vietnam and USA. Do I need a T Money card? Or can I get by with some cash and credit cards? Visiting Seoul for 2 days while transiting between Vietnam and USA. Do I need a T Money card? Or can I get by with some cash and credit cards?

nobody mentioned the t money card apps, u can check the balance or even top up the card using the t money app or other transport apps like naver maps, it's pretty convenient, especially if u are low on funds, u can just top up the card using ur credit card, some convenience stores also have a top up machine, like the one at gs25 near euljiro 4 ga station, it's open 24 hours, so u can top up ur t money card whenever u need to, also some touristic spots like namsan tower or buckhon hanok village have a t money reload machine, so it's not that hard to refill ur card when u are running low on balance

For a short trip like yours, a T Money card may not be the most cost-effective option, considering the initial card purchase fee. If you plan to use the subway frequently, it might be worth it, but if not, your credit card or some cash for small purchases like street food or at traditional markets like Gwangjang or Namdaemun will suffice. The express train from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station is around 4250 won, which can be paid by credit card, and from there, many taxis accept credit cards, so it's possible to get by without a T Money card, especially if your time is limited and you're staying in a tourist area like Myeong-dong or Hongdae.

seoul has a lot of cashless payment options now, tbh, so u can get by with just a credit card if ur card has no foreign transaction fees, ngl, the exchange rate is pretty decent rn, i use my credit card to pay for most things, including buying a ticket for the express train from incheon airport to seoul station, it's around 4250 won, u can just tap ur credit card at the ticket machine at the airport, it's pretty convenient, also some taxis accept credit card payments now, so that's an option too

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
