if you want the full experience hit up the art supply alley near hongdae station exit 4, it's a whole block of tiny shops stacked with stuff you won't find at artbox. for something more curated, object in mangwon has a good mix of local brands and imported pens, plus their house brand notebooks are solid. just go on a weekday afternoon, weekends get packed with tourists

honestly just skip the tourist spots and head to kyobo bookstore in gangnam station, they have a whole floor of stationary that's way less chaotic than the art supply alley. the real hidden gem is the basement level at coex mall though, there's a tiny shop called mmmg that stocks really unique korean indie brands you wont see anywhere else. fair warning their stuff runs a bit pricey but the quality and design is worth it if you're into minimal aesthetics

for cheap stuff that's still cute, daiso in gangnam station is actually stacked. they have a whole section of washi tape and stickers that changes every season, I picked up some fall themed ones for like 2,000 won each. if you want nicer stuff without the tourist markup, the artbox in coex mall basement is way less crowded than the myeongdong one and has the same prices

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
