If anyone could help me find a source of information or even a local resident to video a accurate measurement would be splendid.

Yanghwa Bridge Video Reference: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeT6oNe3/

tbh i doubt you'll find the official rail height anywhere online, seoul city publishes bridge specs but mostly deck width and load limits, not railing details. your best bet is asking on a korean forum like dcinside or the seoul subreddit, some transit nerds there might know. or you could check the bridge's maintenance office, they'd have the original blueprints, but getting a response as a foreigner might be a hassle. honestly the roller part is probably standard issue, most hangang bridges use the same railing system, so even measuring a similar one like mapo bridge would give you a close number.

fwiw the tiktok video u linked, if u freeze it at the right frame, u can count the concrete barrier segments. those are standard 2m panels on hangang bridges, so u can scale the rail against that. i did a rough calc once for a similar bridge and got around 105cm including the roller, which matches what the other guy said. also, the roller isn't really a bearing, its just a steel tube that spins, so it doesnt add much, maybe 8 to 10cm. if u want a dead-on number, try the seoul digital archive or the national assembly library, they have construction reports from the 1982 rebuild that list railing specs. searching in korean like "양화대교 난간 높이" might get u a blog post from a civil engineering student, those pop up sometimes.

honestly the roller height on yanghwa is probably around 110 to 120cm total, most of the hangang bridges use the same standard railing spec from the 80s when they were rebuilt. if u really want a precise number, check the bridge's as-built drawings at the seoul facilities corporation, they list every dimension including the handrail. but they don't publish those online, u'd have to email them in korean. another trick is to look at the cctv footage from the bridge cams, the pixel scale against the concrete barrier gives u a rough estimate, i did that once for a similar question on a japanese bridge. fwiw the roller part is just a bearing, it adds maybe 15cm to the top rail, so the actual rail height without it is closer to 95cm.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
