Where can I buy the new Dungeons&Dragons Player's Handbook when it comes out?

New to Seoul but I play online with friends back home. I don't want a digital copy. I could always buy it online and have it shipped but shipping is for fanfics - would rather have the fun in disc… New to Seoul but I play online with friends back home. I don't want a digital copy. I could always buy it online and have it shipped but shipping is for fanfics - would rather have the fun in discovering new game shops 🌸

check out yeongdeungpo station underground shopping - there's a small game shop near exit 4 that stocks d&d stuff. they usually get new releases within the first week or two. also, the artbox in hongdae sometimes carries rpg books but they're hit or miss with english versions

Your best bet for English RPG books in Seoul is Kyobo Bookstore in Gwanghwamun. They have a dedicated English book section on the second floor and they usually get new D&D releases around the same time as Amazon. I've seen the core rulebooks there before, just not always on the shelf right at launch.

If you want something more niche, there's a board game cafe called Dice & Goblin in Hongdae that also sells books. They're more into indie and Korean RPGs but the owner speaks English and can order things for you if you ask.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
