Help T-money card or Capital one card?

So that's the downside. Should I just withdraw a couple thousand from my bank and put it on a tmoney card in K-won when I get to Incheon Int airport? What's the consensus?

honestly i'd go mostly cash for daily stuff, t-money is a must for transit but i'd load like 10,000 won at first, you can always add more at any convenience store. capital one is fine for bigger purchases but some places in older neighborhoods or markets might give u a weird look, cash is king there

capital one is fine for most places here, just be aware some smaller shops or markets might not take it. i'd pull out maybe 100,000 won at the airport atm for backup, the exchange rate is decent enough. t-money is essential for subway and bus, just load like 20,000 won to start, you can top up at any gs25 or 7-eleven. honestly using cash for street food and convenience store snacks is easier than swiping a card for 2,000 won items

Just use your Capital One card for most things, it works fine here with no foreign transaction fees. Put maybe 50,000 won on a T-money card for buses and subway when you land, you can reload it at any convenience store.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
