Any Kor>Eng interpreter/translator for plastic surgery? Looking to get rhinoplasty

I got a few clinics after looking through Unni reviews, but i need a translator to help ask the best prices and accompany me to the clinic when i get consultation and also surgery. Thankyou!

the unni reviews are a decent start but they skew toward bigger clinics that already have english staff so ur basically paying for a service u might not need. what i'd actually do is check naver blog instead, search the procedure in korean (코수술 후기) & look for posts that mention 통역, some freelance interpreters write their own reviews with clinic names attached. also worth knowing: korean clinics quote locals and foreigners different prices, so having a korean speaker ask "현금가 얼마예요" can drop the number way more than any english coordinator will. cash price, always ask

Most clinics in Apgujeong already have in-house English coordinators, so you might not need to pay a separate translator for the consult itself. The catch is those coordinators work for the clinic, not you, so they won't push hard on price. If you want someone in your corner, look for a "통역" service rather than a general translator, and expect around 100,000 to 150,000 won for a full day at the clinic. Gangnam Station exit 11 has a few agencies nearby but honestly a lot of people just book through KakaoTalk groups for foreigners in Korea.

if ur still picking clinics, the translator thing can wait tbh. i'd lock the clinic first then ask them if they have a preferred freelance interpreter, a lot of them do & it's cheaper than going in cold thru an agency. also bring a korean friend if u have one, even just for the price talk, it changes the whole vibe

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 14 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
