Private bath house for men?

Going to Seoul with my father. Are there any private bath houses for me so my father and I aren't naked in front of each other? Thanks! Going to Seoul with my father. Are there any private bath houses for me so my father and I aren't naked in front of each other? Thanks!

honestly most jjimjilbangs in Seoul have separate male/female areas so you won't be naked together anyway. the big chain ones like Dragon Hill Spa or Siloam Sauna have private locker rooms and showers in the gender sections, then you meet up in the shared common areas with clothes on. if u really want total privacy for bathing, some hotels offer day use of their spa facilities with private changing rooms - the Four Seasons or the Banyan Tree in Seoul both do this but it's pricey around 100-150k won per person. your dad might actually be fine with the traditional setup tho, Korean bath houses are pretty chill about nudity and nobody pays attention to anyone else

I think the easiest option is booking a room at a jjimjilbang that offers private sleeping rooms with attached bathrooms. Some places like the one near Seoul Station or the Dragon Hill Spa have these small rooms where you can shower in private. You'd still use the gender-separated changing areas but your dad can wait in the room while you shower. Just ask for a "bang" (room) when you check in, it's usually an extra 20-30k won on top of the entrance fee.

you could try a 찜질방 that has individual shower stalls instead of open bathing, some of the newer ones in Gangnam like Spa Lei or the one in COEX Mall have private shower rooms. they're still gender separated but you each get your own little cubicle with a door so no awkwardness. also some hotels like the Lotte or Shilla have day spa packages with private changing rooms, just call ahead and ask for "individual shower facilities" they'll know what you mean. honestly your dad prob doesn't care but if it makes you comfortable that's what matters

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
