Help in identifying this Seoul cemetery, based on photos of surrounding topography? Some relatives are buried there and the photographer wasn't great in documenting the place other than "Seoul Cemetery." Photos are from 1998. Possibly Bundang Me

if the photos show a lot of pine trees and the graves are kind of scattered up a hillside with no real order, that's definitely Seoul Memorial Park. the older section there is called the "forest cemetery" area and it's pretty unorganized compared to the newer sections. Bundang was still half construction sites in 98 so the view from the cemetery would've been a mix of empty lots and new apartment towers

also check if there's a small stream or drainage ditch near the bottom of the hill. there's one that runs along the edge of the property and it's pretty distinct. if you see that with concrete banks it's another sign

yeah if the photos show any kind of concrete retaining walls with hanja inscriptions that's a dead giveaway for Seoul Memorial Park. most of the older sections there have those walls with names carved in. the newer columbarium buildings are more modern but in 98 they prob weren't built yet

also check if there's a big red gate with dragons on the pillars. that's the main entrance to Seoul Memorial Park and it's been there since the 70s. if your photos have that then you're definitely in the right place

the other option is Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak but that's way more formal with straight rows of grave markers and a huge memorial tower. if your photos show grass hills with scattered trees and no military vibe then it's not that one

honestly, "Seoul Cemetery" is pretty vague since there are multiple. but from 1998 and the mention of Bundang, you're prob talking about Seoul Memorial Park in Seongnam. that area was still being developed back then and the hills around it match older photos I've seen. the big giveaway is usually the mountain ridge behind it, if the photos show a long low ridge with a peak on one end that's Gwanggyosan. if the graves are on a hillside with city spreading out below, that fits too since Bundang was growing fast in the late 90s.

if you can share any details about the gate or sign in the photos I might be able to narrow it down more. there's also a smaller one called Manguri Park Cemetery but that's more rural and further out.

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
