What do teens do in Korea?

Definitely check out the multiplayer gaming cafes called PC bangs near Gangnam or Jongno. They're packed with teens after school and you can rent a seat for around 1000 won an hour. A lot of people go solo and it's common to just hop into a game like League or Overwatch with strangers nearby. If you're not into gaming, the big shopping malls in Myeongdong have themed photo booths where groups of friends hang out and take sticker pictures, you'll see plenty of people your age lining up for those.

honestly just go to hongdae or sinchon on a weekend afternoon, tons of teens hang around the main streets and there's a big kakaofriends store and lots of cafes where people just sit on their phones. the free stage in hongdae park usually has dance crews practicing and sometimes they'll let you join in if you ask. also check out the coin karaoke places near ewha womans university station, they're cheap like 1000 won for a song and you'll run into groups your age pretty easily

not many people mention the river parks honestly. tteukseom or yeouido on a weekend afternoon has tons of teens just sitting on blankets with snacks and blasting music from portable speakers. you could prob just walk up to a group playing badminton or something and ask to join, k

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
