There are a lot of coworking places in Seoul, but I need something late night or 24H since I will be working US east coast hours. I don't need a private office or anything. Are there study cafes or something? Would appreciate any recs!

If you're based near Sinchon or Ehwa, check out Cafe 24si by the main street. It's literally open 24 hours and has a separate quiet floor that most people don't know about. The wifi is solid and they have power outlets at every seat, which is rare for a lot of these places. Just be aware that the hourly rate is around 2,000 won but they expect you to order something every few hours.

honestly tosil in gangnam is prob your best bet for 24h coworking near the station, they have a dedicated quiet zone and decent wifi. it's like 10k won for a day pass and they have lockers if u need to stash stuff overnight

if you're more towards hongdae, space wow is open till 2am most nights and has a solid mix of desks and beanbags. not quite 24h but close enough if your meetings wrap up by midnight kst. the coffee is meh but the sockets are everywhere

for study cafes specifically, try baedaltong in jongno - they're open 24h and have those little cubicles u can nap in. just bring a jacket cause they crank the AC even in winter

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
