I tried to find atm but most of them can't take my card (I have a Revolut she's too thick) I found one who could take it in a bank but it didn't work the employee said it was a card password error but I typed the right one. I don't really know what to do. Does someone have an answer to my problem ?? Thanks

try the global atms at convenience stores like gs25 or 7-eleven, they usually work with foreign cards even thick ones. the error was probably the bank's atm not your card or pin tbh. if that still fails, go to a myeongdong exchange booth with usd or eur cash, they're everywhere and give decent rates

honestly the pin error is probably because korean atms want you to hit the 'foreign card' button first before entering your pin, if you hit local card it expects a 4 digit korean bank pin and rejects yours. for the thick card thing, try the global atms at shinsegae department store or lotte department store, they have those fancy all-in-one machines that swallow the whole card and don't care about thickness. if all else fails, just bring a passport and some usd to a namsan exchange center near myeongdong station exit 2, they do cash without any card nonsense

The convenience store ATMs are a solid bet, but if those still don't work, head to a Woori Bank branch. They have a specific "Global ATM" option on the screen that's designed for foreign cards, and the machines are usually newer and accept thicker cards. I've seen people with Revolut and Wise cards use them without issues near Jongno 3-ga station. Just make sure you're selecting "Foreign Card" at the start of the transaction, not the local card option, or it'll throw that password error again.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
