There are a few apps that have carved out a niche for the 50+ crowd in Korea. "Boom" and "Danggeun Market" are the obvious ones, but for seniors specifically, the "Solo" app has a pretty active community board where people organize dinner meetups and museum visits in real time. I know a few ajummas in my building who met their current partners through the hiking clubs that organize on there. The key is just being willing to show up to the first event, since everyone else is in the same boat and usually pretty welcoming.
It's definitely possible. A lot of people don't realize that senior centers in Seoul run their own matchmaking events and hobby classes specifically for people 50 and older. The ones in Jongno-gu and Mapo-gu are particularly active, with things like line dance classes and hiking clubs that naturally lead to friendships and more. You'd be surprised how many couples I've seen form through the free Korean language and computer literacy programs at these centers.
the silver town cafes in jongno are lowkey the move. they're basically coffee shops for 50+ only, no young people allowed lol. the one near anguk station has a bulletin board where people post meetup notices for dinner groups and museum trips. also check out the 50+ foundation in seodaemun, they run weekend dance parties that are way less formal than the senior center stuff

The guide is solid, but one thing I'd add is that if you're landing at Terminal 2, the AREX Express actually starts there and stops at Terminal 1 before heading to Seoul Station. Also, for the limousine bus, the 6015 to Myeongdong is great but traffic on the way in can turn that 60-minute ride into 90 minutes easily, especially on Friday afternoons.
yeah the guide covers it well but one thing i'd mention is that if you're traveling with a group of 3 or 4, a regular taxi from the airport to central seoul can actually be cheaper per person than the express train and way more convenient. split 60k won four ways and it's only 15k each, plus no hauling luggage through the station. just make sure they use the meter or you'll get ripped off
