solid itinerary, covers the big stuff without trying to do too much. one thing i'd tweak is swapping the afternoon in medina for a walk through the old railway district near the port, it's a bit rougher but the street art is way better than the village des arts which is honestly kind of quiet. grab a bissap from a street vendor there, like 100 CFA, it's the best thing on a hot day
also for the ferry to goree, the 9am is smart but if you can do the 8am it's way less crowded and you get the island almost to yourself for the first hour. just make sure you're at the port by 7:30, the queue moves slow
the soumbedioune tip about bargaining is key, start at half what they ask and meet in the middle. i got a nice leather bag for 8000 that they wanted 18000 for, just be patient and smile

one thing the guide doesn't mention is that the BRT is actually pretty unreliable still, I'd stick to shared taxis or just walk if you can. rush hour is brutal yeah, I've spent an hour trying to get from Plateau to Almadies in a taxi, so plan around that
