really appreciate this guide, it covers the main spots well. one thing i'd add is the caplaki craft village near the convention centre, it's a bit touristy but the prices are actually negotiable and you can find unique handmade baskets and cowhide drums that beat the airport shops by a long shot. also for a quick bite after the memorial, the brochettes at the little kiosk just down kg 14 ave near the bus stop are insane, like 500 rwf each and they grill them right there on the street, way better than the sit-down places imo
the genocide memorial is heavy but absolutely necessary, if you go on a weekday morning it's much quieter and you can take your time in the gardens after. for a real local coffee experience skip the tourist spots and hit up cafe de l'academie near the national university, it's like 1,500 rwf for a perfect espresso and the students there are always up for a chat. also the nyamirambo walking tour is great but try to go on a saturday when the kimironko market is at its busiest, the grilled maize vendors there are the best in the city
solid list, the genocide memorial is a must but heads up if you go during rwandan school group season it can get packed with students on field trips. for something the guide skipped, the kimisagara public pool is a hidden gem on a hot day, it's like 1,000 rwf entry and you get to hang with local families splashing around. also that mt kigali bike route is nice but the climb up from the city is brutal if you're not used to the altitude, i'd start from the top near the telecom tower instead

this is a solid itinerary, you clearly did your homework. one thing i'd add is that the kimironko market can be overwhelming if you go midday, the vendors are super pushy about prices. try going right when it opens around 8am, it's way more chill and you can haggle better without the heat and crowd. also, for day 2, skip the moto taxi and just walk from nyamirambo to kandi house if you have the energy, it's like 20 minutes and you'll see the street life properly. the brochettes at chez lando are legit some of the best in the city, i still think about them lol
good plan, covers the main spots without trying to do too much. if you're at the genocide memorial, give yourself the full 3 hours, it's heavy but worth it and rushing through feels wrong. for day 2 dinner, i'd actually suggest carmel restaurant on kn 3 ave over poivre noir if you want something more casual and local, their grilled tilapia and ibitoki (plantains) are fantastic and it's about half the price, like 7,000-10,000 rwf for a full meal. also, if you're up early on day 3, grab a coffee and a sambaza pastry from question coffee on kg 9 ave before heading to the convention center, their stuff is better than anything at the hut buffet imo
honestly this is a really well thought out plan, you've got the major spots covered. one thing i'd tweak is swapping the kigali heights mall for the ikaze showroom on kg 14 ave, it's smaller but the quality of crafts is way better and the prices are more fixed so u dont have to haggle as hard. also for day 3, if you're doing the mount kigali hike, go around 4pm instead of lunch, the light is gorgeous and it's cooler, plus you can catch the sunset from the top which is prettier than the midday view in my opinion. the buffet at the hut is solid but their sambaza is way better than what you'll get at repub lounge tbh
