solid list, i'd add that the walk along Kirovka is better in the morning before the crowds hit, around 9am, when the statues are empty and the coffee shops are just opening. the coffee at Coffee Room on Kirovka 45 is actually decent, they roast their own beans.
for a different day trip, skip Taganay if you only have a day and head to the Ilmen Nature Reserve instead, it's only an hour south. the mineral museum there is incredible, they have over 200 types of rocks from the Urals, and the hiking trails are easier than Taganay. entry is like 400 rub for the museum and you can walk to the lake right behind it.
the opera tip is good but check if they're doing a children's matinee on weekends, those are usually 300 rub and the singers are just as good, plus the audience is less stuffy. i've seen some great ballets there for half the price of evening shows.
the guide's solid but missing the best viewpoint. walk up to the top of the Chelyabinsk TV tower lookout on ul. Pushkina, it's like 200 rub to go up and you can see the whole city spread out, Lake Smolino on one side and the factories on the other. the elevator's janky but worth it.
for a cheap lunch hit the food court at the Gorky Market, not the fancy one on Kirovka. get a plate of manti from the Uzbek stall for like 300 rub, they make them fresh right there. the whole place smells like grilled meat and old bread, very authentic.
about the tram, route 3 is fine but route 8 goes past the old Kirov Plant buildings, those massive brick factories from the 30s. starts from the same stop, takes about the same time, way less crowded even at rush hour
honestly this is a really solid guide, i live nearby and use it sometimes. one thing i'd add is the walk along the Miass River embankment, it starts right behind the opera house and goes for like 2 km. it's quieter than Kirovka and has these cool metal art installations, plus a little beach spot in summer where people actually swim.
for food id skip Ural and try Chaynaya Lozhka on Kirovka instead, it's a chain but the blini with red caviar are cheap and legit, under 500 rub for a big meal. way more casual and no wait usually.
also the tram tip is solid but route 3 gets packed after 5pm, try it around 11am on a weekday for a chill ride. the drivers are grumpy but they'll let u pay with card no issue.

This is a solid plan, but I'd swap the order a bit. Day 1 is already in the city center, so after Kirovka you can walk to the embankment in about 10 minutes and catch the sunset before dinner at Uralskie Pelmeni. The bridge lights come on around 8pm and it's much more pleasant than rushing back after eating. Also, for Day 3, the zoo is fine but the real gem is the forest park behind Gagarin Park, just past the lake. There's a network of dirt paths that locals use for jogging, and you'll see actual birch groves with no crowds. It's free and takes about an hour to loop through.
solid guide, but you're missing the best part of day 1. after kirovka, cut through the arch at revolution square and walk to the miass river embankment, it's like 5 minutes. the bridge lights come on around 8pm and there's a guy selling smoked fish from a cooler near the pedestrian bridge, 200 rub for a whole perch, best snack in the city. also for day 3, skip the zoo and take bus 64 to the chelyabinsk arboretum instead, it's 100 rub entry and has a greenhouse with tropical plants that's open year round, way more interesting than the zoo enclosures imo
nice write up, one thing i'd add is the walk along the miass river embankment at sunset is actually better than the tv tower view in my opinion. the tower is fine but the embankment has a more relaxed vibe with locals fishing and the old bridge lights come on around 8pm. also for day 2, if you're at the fine arts museum, grab a coffee at the little kiosk in revolution square, it's like 100 rub and way better than the museum cafe. the opera theatre is worth the 500 rub ticket even if you don't understand russian, the acoustics are solid
