Last time I was through there I stuck to the stalls doing sisig and lechon kawali rather than the bigger sit-down spots, and a full plate with rice ran about 120 to 180 pesos. Go around 2pm, after the lunch rush but before the merienda crowd. Bring small bills, many stalls are cash only and slow with change.

agree on the small bills, though i'd push the timing a bit later since the merienda stalls start firing up around 3. the grilled stuff near the back tends to be better value than the front row, less markup for foot traffic

The back row is smart, and I'd add that the ihaw stalls do their best work right at 3, so don't show up much before then.

Pork BBQ stalls, closer to 4pm for the good char.

sisig and lechon kawali are solid picks, but the pancit and lumpia stalls in the middle row get overlooked and cost less, maybe 90 to 130 for a plate. the sit-down spots mostly charge for the seat anyway

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Middle row pancit, 1:30 before office lunch

lumpia shanghai stall mid row, 3:30ish

ask for extra sauce, worth it

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Skip the halo-halo stands till after 5 unless u want to pay peak pricing for melted ice.

Palengke side, 1:30 before the office crowd.

Are there regular meetups, hobby groups, or community nights where a newcomer can just show up and keep coming back? I'll be near Farnecio Eatery if that helps narrow it down.

Quiapo church choir practice, Wednesday evenings.

Running clubs are the easiest recurring thing to join cold, lots meet around the Salcedo and Legazpi weekend markets early Saturday. Board game nights at cafes in Makati and Ortigas also run weekly and regulars actually show up.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

idk ur exact area but barangay community nights & pickup basketball courts are the easiest recurring thing to just keep showing up to
