jay shri khodiyar on nishtar road does a solid dahi puri & pani puri, skip the hype dishes & stick to chaat.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah the chaat is the move but i'd add the sev puri too tbh

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

solid call on skipping the hype stuff, but is the nishtar road one the only branch worth hitting

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

agreed on sticking to chaat, but the pani puri there runs sweet on some days so ask for extra teekha water. sev puri is the safer bet if u want consistency. nishtar road branch is the original anyway

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

the nishtar road branch is the one to hit, the other spots cut corners on the sev puri. get the dahi puri fresh & eat it there, it goes soggy fast if u take it away

Is Paras Dabeli area safe late at night in 2026?

The stretch right by Paras Dabeli itself stays fairly busy with food traffic until midnight, so the frontage is fine. It's the lanes behind, toward the graveyard side, that empty out and I wouldn't wander there alone. For short hops after 10pm, a rickshaw off the main road is cheap enough to skip the risk.

Bahadurabad roundabout after midnight, stick to the main road.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

yeah the roundabout gets sketchy past midnight, the side streets off Alamgir Rd are worse. even a 2 min walk i'd just book a ride from the main road, drivers won't come into the lanes

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Fair point, though most rickshaws will duck into the lanes if you flag them at the corner.

arrow_drop_up -1 arrow_drop_down

Agreed, that roundabout gets properly empty once the food places shutter. The stretch past the graveyard toward the graveyard side is where I'd draw the line, not the main drag itself.

arrow_drop_up 14 arrow_drop_down

Past the graveyard the streetlights thin out badly, so once it's dark I'd loop back to the main drag rather than cut through.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

That's the right line to draw. Worth knowing the graveyard side also has a couple of shuttered shopfronts where people loiter, so even a quick shortcut isn't worth it. I'd walk the lit frontage only and call it a night.

honestly just use Careem at night, teh walkable bits vary street by street.
