Best gym in Karachi near Fitness Zone for a short stay?
Fitness Zone does walk in day passes, just ask at reception, and the free weights section is solid enough for real lifting.
Ask reception to show you the plate range too, since a couple of the benches sit at odd heights for taller lifters.
Weekends get packed after 6pm so aim for like 2pm, and the AC in the weights room barely copes in summer.
Check if they still do the weekly rate, it was around 4k last time i asked and cheaper than stacking day passes. mornings before 8 are way less crowded for the racks. bring ur own chalk if u use it, they get fussy
yeah the chalk thing is real, theyre strict about it
Liquid chalk gets waved through more often than the block kind, if you're attached to using it.
Towels only, they'll stop you at the desk.
Second this, but ask about the student rate too
The weekly rate is worth asking about upfront since reception doesn't always volunteer it, and the early morning crowd thins out even more during Ramadan timings.
Weekly rate needs cash upfront in my experience
Paras Dabeli in Karachi worth the trip?
paras dabeli runs mild if u ask for less teekha, but it's far from clifton so grab burns road keema instead
Fair point on the distance, though I'd say ask for less teekha anyway since even mild dabeli catches some people off guard.
even the less teekha version builds on you, so order a dahi puri alongside to cool things down between bites.
yeah the less teekha ask is key, even mild dabeli has a kick some people dont expect. burns road keema is a solid swap tbh, way closer to Clifton
true, even the mild version has a slow build. tbh for a quick bite i'd just walk to boat basin for bun kabab instead of trekking across town. less hassle with traffic.
Burns Road stalls mostly shut by midnight.
most of them do but a few stay open later on weekends, especially around Ramzan timings. if its past midnight just head to boat basin instead, stalls there run till 2 or 3am
honestly ive seen a few bun kabab carts near boat basin still going way past that on weeknights too
the kick builds slow too, hits you a minute after the first bite. if u want dabeli without the trek, bun kabab stalls near Schon Circle do a decent quick version. not the same but close enough
agreed on the teekha, but keema puri at boat basin hits harder for a quick bite
