fwiw the palacio municipal is a good starting point but if you're into architecture the old cine neza on avenida pantitlan is a better stop, it's this abandoned art deco building from the 70s that still has the original neon sign. the guide's right about the mercado de la bola for produce but the real gem there is the torta stand on the southeast corner, they do a cubana with like five meats and it's 60 pesos. also for day 3 evening the parque de la ciudad is fine but the canal de la compañía walkway is way more chill at sunset, the lights reflect off the water and it's usually quiet
