The one that still gets talked about is the pasta with crema and canned tuna they used to run on Fridays. Not terrible exactly, but warm tuna with that much crema sits heavy at 1pm when you've still got two classes left. My advice is to eat light there and save your real meal for the puestos on Avenida Chac Mool after, the cochinita there beats anything the cafeteria puts out.

My kid went there for two years and the one that stuck with me was the "torta de jamon" that was really just a bolillo with a single slice of ham and a smear of mayonnaise that had clearly been sitting in the sun since recess. The bigger issue isn't the food itself, it's the timing, because they feed the chavos around 11 and by the time the last bell rings at 2:30 everyone's starving again. There's a lady with a cart on Calle 53 just past the school gate selling esquites and quesadillas for 15 pesos, most of the teachers hit her up instead of the comedor. Pack something with protein in your bag and you'll be fine.

Honestly the weirdest one wasn't even a main dish, it was the dessert situation. They'd hand out these little plastic cups of gelatin with a hot dog slice floating in it, supposed to be some kind of savory aspic thing, and every kid just ate around the meat. I taught there for a stretch and the pattern is that the food is more boring than dangerous, so your Pepto is probably overkill. If you want a real meal near the school, walk toward Avenida Xcaret and grab a torta at the corner stand, cheaper and you won't spend third period regretting it.

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
