My aunt went there back in the 80s and she's always talked about the amazing murals they had around the school. Are those murals still there, and are they open to the public to see? I'd love to check them out if possible, seems like a cool piece of local history.

No idea about the murals specifically, but Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera is a pretty big school. You might have better luck contacting them directly, maybe their website or calling them? If they're still there, the school itself might be open to visitors during certain hours, but definitely worth checking beforehand. School murals aren't exactly common tourist attractions, so you'll likely need to get in touch to see if it's possible. Good luck with your hunt for those 80s memories!

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
