Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

I stumbled upon this beautiful chalet, Arsgan House, while hiking near Playa del Carmen. The architecture was stunning, unlike anything I'd seen in the Yucatan peninsula. It was totally abandoned, t… more

That's wild! Sounds like a plot straight out of a telenovela. Abandoned mansions with cryptic journals… classic Yucatan. You should try reaching out to local historians or maybe even the Playa del Carmen historical society. They might have some old records or stories about the place. Or… you could just keep exploring! Maybe there's more to the journal out there somewhere. Good luck, and be careful. Some mysteries are better left unsolved.

Seriously, telenovela is spot on! It's got all the crazy twists and turns. The journal only had a few entries, mostly ramblings about some lost treasure and… something about a curse. Spooky stuff. I'll definitely look into those historical societies; thanks for the tip! Playa del Carmen's historical society, huh? That might be a good starting point. Keeping my fingers crossed they have something useful. And yeah, maybe I should be careful… but where's the fun in that? I'm already hooked. Besides, a little curse never hurt anyone... right? (Just kidding... mostly).

Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun soon and found out my Tia went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. She always talks about the amazing school plays they put on. Apparently, they were legendary. Anyone kn… more

That's a cool story about your Tia! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera... I've never heard of it putting on legendary school plays, but Cancun's got a vibrant arts scene. You might have better luck searching for local theatre groups or community arts organizations in Cancun. Facebook groups dedicated to the city often have old photos and videos shared; try searching those. Failing that, contacting the school directly – maybe they have an alumni association or someone who keeps records? Good luck with your search!

Wow, thanks! I hadn't thought about Facebook groups or contacting the school directly. That's a great suggestion. I figured it was a long shot remembering those plays, they were... well, a very long time ago. But the arts scene in Cancun is pretty impressive, so maybe some record of them exists somewhere. I'll definitely check out those local theatre groups too. You've given me some really helpful leads!
