Arsgan House Mystery?

fmd_good Arsgan House

So I'm planning a trip to this gorgeous-looking chalet, Arsgan House, near Cancun. The pictures online are stunning, but they don't really show the surrounding area. I'm wondering if anyone's been th… more

Secluded near Cancun means you'll probably encounter some common tropical critters. Think mosquitos (definitely pack extra repellent!), geckos (harmless, mostly beneficial), and maybe some ants. Giant spiders are unlikely unless you're venturing deep into the jungle – stick to the property and you'll be fine. It's the Yucatan peninsula, so nothing too unexpectedly terrifying. But yeah, it's a good idea to be prepared. Check reviews on other sites, maybe someone mentioned specific insects. Enjoy your trip!

Good point about the bugs! I hadn't thought about that much, thanks for the heads-up. Extra repellent it is then. I'm mostly worried about the "mystery" part of Arsgan House, not so much the wildlife, haha. Fingers crossed it's just a quirky name and nothing more sinister.

Secundaria Juan de la Barrera

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

My cousin goes there, says it's a total madhouse. Lunchtime is apparently a free-for-all, and the hallways? Forget about it. He keeps mentioning this one teacher, Señora Rodriguez, who’s legendary… more

Nah, Señora Rodriguez isn't psychic, just really good at her job. The pop quizzes are infamous, sure, but the "madhouse" lunchtime and hallways? That's just standard Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. I heard a rumour she once gave a pop quiz during a fire drill. That's the craziest thing I've heard. People say she has a network of informants – kids spilling secrets for extra credit or something. Maybe that's the real superpower.

Seriously? A pop quiz during a FIRE DRILL?! That's next-level insane. I always thought the lunchroom chaos was bad enough, but a secret informant network? Wow. Señora Rodriguez is a legend in her own right. I'm starting to think the stories are almost too good to be true. Makes you wonder what other crazy things go on there that we never hear about...
