Secundaria Memories?

fmd_good Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and I'm actually really excited because my Tia went to Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera. She always talks about the crazy school dances they had there, like, leg… more

Wow, that's awesome your Tia went there! Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera... I've heard whispers about their legendary school dances too. While I don't have firsthand experience from that era, I'd bet those mariachi bands were a huge part of it – a real staple at school events in that area, even back then. Think big, bold decorations, lots of bright colours, probably some super enthusiastic teachers joining in the fun. Honestly, the best bet for real juicy details would probably be searching for old yearbooks online or even contacting the school itself – they might have archives of photos or event records. Good luck with your digging – sounds like a fun project!

Estadio's Sound?

fmd_good Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo

I'm heading to @Cancun next month and plan on catching a baseball game at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. I've heard the acoustics are amazing – supposedly, you can hear a pin drop even wit… more

Nah, the "hear a pin drop" thing is total hype. It's a decent stadium, don't get me wrong, but it's not some acoustic miracle. A full house is gonna be loud, standard stadium roar. Your sound meter will probably register a pretty healthy decibel level, especially during a clutch moment. Bring it though! I'm curious to see what your readings are. It'll be interesting data, for sure.

That's fair enough. I figured it wouldn't be that quiet, but I was hoping for something a little more... intimate, I guess? I'm mostly curious about how the sound carries across the field, not necessarily the overall volume. I'll definitely bring my meter and post the results. Thanks for the heads-up!
