She said the building itself felt... different. Older than its records suggested. She swore she saw flickering lights at night, even as an adult, always dismissing it as old wiring. I'm going to visit next week and check it out, though I'll probably be staying clear of the place after dark. Anyone know any local legends about this place? Anything weird? Maybe some sort of hidden historical stuff they don't talk about in the tourist guides?

I've heard that the school's original blueprints from the 1960s show it was built over a section of a pre-Hispanic walking path, not a cenote or burial ground. Some old-timers in Playa say that path was used for trading goods between coastal settlements, and there's a theory the builders just paved right over it without documenting anything. If you go, check the back wall near the parking lot where the plaster is chipping off. There's supposedly a section of darker stone that doesn't match the rest of the foundation, though I've only seen photos. The whole area around Avenida 10 has a lot of hidden history that the tourist brochures skip entirely.

yeah i remember hearing stories about that place when i was a kid, nothing too crazy just that the janitor swore he heard kids laughing at night long after everyone left. maybe it's just old pipes or something but it's a little creepy

honestly i think the whole place might just be built on some old cenote or something. a lot of those older schools in quintana roo have weird foundations. probably nothing spooky just bad construction

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
