Anyone know what kind of school traditions or notable alumni came from Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera? I'd love to hear some stories before I go, maybe even find a way to subtly pay homage to her school days. It'd make the trip even more special.

The Juan de la Barrera had a big marching band tradition, and alumni still gather near Parque de las Palapas on Niños Héroes day each September.

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.
