Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort: Anyone else ever try the tequila tasting there? My wife and I went last month. Beautiful resort, stunning beach, but the food...meh. Service was generally good, staff super friendly, always smiling. But the food,

honestly the tequila tasting is more about the experience than the quality of the tequila itself. we went last year and our guide was hilarious, made it worth it even if the food wasn't great. next time grab a ceviche at the little cart by the pool, way better than the buffet stuff

Yeah, the Dreams Vista Cancun is gorgeous, I'll give you that. We stayed there a few years back. Remembered the beach being amazing, totally agree. The tequila tasting was...fine. Not life-changing, you know? More of a "pleasant distraction" kind of thing. I think their focus is definitely on the resort experience itself, not necessarily the gourmet food scene. We ended up eating most of our meals off-resort, honestly. Found some great little taco stands near the hotel zone that were way better.

Totally get what you mean. We had a similar experience. The resort itself was incredible, picturesque beyond belief, but the food was a serious let down. We tried the a la carte restaurants, hoping for something better, but it was pretty much the same story, underwhelming. Those taco stands sound amazing though! Any chance you remember the names or locations of those places? We're already planning our next trip and definitely want to avoid resort dining.

Oh for crying out loud, another person disappointed by resort food in Cancun. What did you expect, Michelin stars in a giant sandbox? The tequila tasting is fine if you just want to get buzzed before your next mediocre meal, but don't pretend it's some hidden cultural

Forget about it. He keeps mentioning this one teacher, Señora Rodriguez, who's legendary for her pop quizzes. Seriously, he's convinced she can predict the future. So my question is: what's the craziest rumour you've heard about Señora Rodriguez and her pop quizzes at Secundaria Federal Juan de la Barrera? Is she actually psychic...?

my tia subbed there for a semester & said the notebook thing is real but its not about predicting anything. she just recycles the same 5 questions every cycle so by week 3 everyone whos been paying attention already knows whats coming. the actual chaos is the morning shift, kids hopping the fence by the cancha to grab tortas before the 7am bell.

honestly the psychic thing is mostly just kids being dramatic. my neighbor's kid went there and swore she keeps a little notebook with every class's weak spots, like she knows exactly who didnt read the chapter. tbh thats less ESP and more her just paying attention for 20 years. also the lunch chaos is real, that whole stretch near Av. Chac Mool gets nuts around 2pm when everyone spills out.

I don't know about psychic but a friend swears she once gave a quiz on a chapter nobody had been assigned yet.
