🍜 Seremban's Signature Noodles
Start your food crawl with Seremban's most famous dish: Hakka mee. Head to Restoran Asia Laksa at 128, Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal, where the dry noodles with minced pork and springy fish balls cost around RM7. Another must-try is the beef noodle soup at Kedai Kopi Sin Yee at 22, Jalan Dato Lee Fong Yee, open from 7am to 3pm. For a modern twist, try the dry curry mee at Restoran New Paris at 36, Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal, priced at RM8.50.

🍲 Street Food Stalls
Seremban's night market at Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal (Pasar Malam) operates every Saturday from 5pm to 10pm, offering cheap eats like RM3.50 apam balik and RM5 satay sticks. For a late-night fix, the roadside stall at Jalan Tuanku Munawir serves excellent char kway teow for RM6 from 6pm to midnight. Don't miss the popiah stall at the corner of Jalan Dato Sheikh Ahmad, open daily from 11am to 6pm, with each roll costing RM3.

πŸ› Local Favorites
For a taste of Seremban's Malay heritage, try the nasi lemak at Warung Nasi Lemak Kak Som at 45, Jalan Dato Kelana Maamor, open from 7am to 2pm, priced at RM5.50. The Hainanese chicken rice at Restoran Hailam at 12, Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal is a local institution, with a plate costing RM8. Another favorite is the roti canai at Restoran Makanan Pagi at 3, Jalan Dato Lee Fong Yee, served from 6am to 11am for RM2.50.

🍒 Hidden Gems
Tucked away in the residential area of Taman Rasah, Restoran Yee Kee at 18, Jalan Rasah offers a superb claypot chicken rice for RM12, cooked fresh to order from 5pm to 10pm. For dessert, the cendol stall at Jalan Yam Tuan (opposite the post office) serves a creamy bowl for RM3.50 from 11am to 5pm. Also check out the popiah and laksa stall at Taman AST, open from 4pm to 9pm, where a plate of laksa costs RM6.

πŸ•’ Best Times to Eat
Most coffee shops in Seremban open early, around 6:30am, and close by 3pm, so plan your breakfast and lunch accordingly. The night market and many street stalls start after 5pm, making evenings ideal for street food. For dinner, restaurants like Restoran Asia Laksa are open until 9pm, but some close on Mondays, so check ahead.

πŸ’° Budget-Friendly Eats
Seremban is very affordable, with most street food and coffee shop meals costing between RM3 and RM10. A full meal at a local restaurant typically ranges from RM8 to RM15, while fine dining options are limited. Bring cash, as many stalls and smaller eateries do not accept credit cards.

🚌 Getting Around
Most food spots are concentrated in the city center, within walking distance of each other. For areas like Taman Rasah or Taman AST, you can take a short Grab ride (around RM5 to RM10) or use local buses from the Seremban Terminal 1. If you're driving, parking can be tricky during lunch hours, so arrive early.

🍽️ Dining Etiquette
At coffee shops, it's common to order drinks along with your food, and some places charge a small service fee. Tipping is not expected, but rounding up the bill is appreciated. When eating at street stalls, use the provided utensils and clean up after yourself to keep the area tidy.

Good writeup, saving this for my next trip down. One thing I'd add is the beef noodle place near the old market does a dry version that's better than the soup if you ask, and the kopitiam crowd there is mostly regulars so you know it's decent. If you're driving in on a weekend, park a street back and walk, the one-way loop gets jammed by mid morning.

Hakka mee stalls up Jalan Kong Sang, 7am.

Solid list. One thing I'd add: the beef noodles at Sin Yee are great but they sell out by early afternoon, so go before noon. If you want crab, the Seremban crab dishes around Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal are worth the mess and the higher price, closer to RM40 a portion. I've only been through Seremban a couple of times but the food alone justifies a return trip.

hup seng biscuits, get there before 2pm

Good writeup. One thing I'd add: the beef noodle stall often sells out before noon on weekends, so go earlier than you think. Also the KTM fare is closer to RM12 now, not RM10.
