Petaling Jaya food recs for a 5 month stay

Moving to PJ in about 5 months for work and need to know where to eat. I'm into local street food but also open to hidden gems. Any must-try spots around SS2 or Damansara? honestly ss2 is a goldmine for street food. the morning pasar there has some killer apam balik with the crispy edges, about rm2 a piece. for dinner, the ss2 murni is overrated imo, skip it and hit the teluk ketapang stall behind the main row for their char kuay teow instead.

damansara utama is where i'd go for hidden gems, specifically the new commercial area near the mrt. there's a small kedai kopi called kopi & banjir that does nasi lemak with sambal that actually has depth, not just sweet. they open for breakfast only till like 11am, so get there early. for a quick lunch, the burger stall at the shell station on jalan ss21/37 is legit, they do a mean ramly burger with extra cheese and telur, around rm6.50.

fwiw, if you're in damansara, check out the wet market area in ss2 early morning. there's this indian stall that does roti canai sambal with teh tarik that's way better than any mamak i've been to. also, for hidden gem, try the claypot chicken rice at the corner of jalan ss21/1a, it's under a tree and they only do dinner but the rice is smoky and the chicken falls off the bone.

The food court at Atria Shopping Gallery in Damansara Jaya is worth a visit for its variety. The satay stall there has been around for years, the meat is well-marinated and they serve it with a thick peanut sauce that has a bit of pineapple in it. For a late night option, the roadside popiah stall near the SS2 police station opens around 9pm and the popiah basah with extra chili is a solid choice, about RM3.50 each.
