the garden table is solid but if you want outdoor seating with better vibes check out Nando's on Chileka Road i know it sounds basic but their peri-peri chicken with extra garlic sauce hits different at night. they have this little patio area thats usually quieter than the main spots and the staff there are super chill about letting u hang out for a while after you eat
for the nsima at mibawa dont sleep on their fried lake chambo its way better than the boiled version. ask for the one with the crispy tail thats where all the flavor is. costs like 500 extra but worth it
honestly the guide nailed it with 21 Grill but imo their steak is way better than the fish options. if you go on a friday evening they sometimes have live acoustic music which makes it a whole vibe, just get there before 7pm or youll be waiting for a table

also for day 3, if you're at limbe market try to find the woman selling fresh sugarcane juice near the fabric stalls. she's been there for years. costs like MWK 200 a cup and it's a lifesaver on a hot afternoon. way better than anything bottled
one tiny correction - the museum entry is actually MWK 2,500 now, they raised it last year. still worth it though, the colonial history section is surprisingly detailed

fwiw the clock tower area is a good anchor point but theres a much better view of it from the top of the old post office building across the street. the security guard usually lets you up the stairs if you ask nicely, its free and you can see the whole market spread out below
for the botanical gardens i'd skip the main entrance path and go around the back near the soccer field. theres a hidden trail that leads to a little stream with these massive old figs, barely anyone goes there. bring mosquito spray though its swampy back there
the 21 grill is fine but their lunch menu is way cheaper than dinner, same quality half the price. i do their chicken schnitzel for like MWK 6,000 and its plenty of food
