Best donuts in Tokyo 2026: The Donut Shop?
Ippo in Kichijoji does a miso caramel old-fashioned that nobody talks about, prob cause it's a 15 min walk from the station. Worth it tho. Also check DUMBO in Kuramae for the brown butter cake donut, cash only and they sell out by early afternoon

The Donut Shop on Shibuya's Cat Street does a solid yeasted ring but the queues are brutal, so go weekday before 10am and get the plain glazed. For something less hyped, Higashiya in Ginza does a matcha sugar donut worth the detour.
honestly the plain glazed is fine but their kinako sugar ring is the one i actually go back for, and weekday mornings it's mostly locals not tourists

Kinako ring beats the glazed every time, and Nakameguro's Florentin does a yuzu old-fashioned that's less queue, more worth it.

yeah weekends go fast but rainy Sundays are your cheat code, everyone stays home and they're still stocked at noon
Higashiya's matcha one is good but go before noon, they sell out and the Ginza branch gets office crowds at lunch. For the Shibuya spot, order the sugar ring not the glazed, the glaze gets soggy if you wait in line too long.
Best time to visit Adventure Park in Tokyo 2026?
Weekends do fill by 10am, but the real crush is 11 to 2 when the day-trippers arrive. I'd burn a weekday if you can, and the timed pass only helps if you're there at opening, otherwise you're queuing anyway.
