the pocky thing is real but ur looking at the wrong store. the 7-11 right by shinjuku station west exit gets wiped by commuters by like 9am, but the family mart on yasukuni dori near the isetan mens building is way more chill & carries the same seasonal stuff. also check the new days inside the station itself, they stock regional flavors other conbini skip. mornings before 8 are dead everywhere so thats ur best bet regardless
fwiw the Nishishinjuku 5-chome store is a normal 7-11 that got famous off one viral tweet, so dont build your day around it. if you actually want rare Pocky, hit the Don Quijote on Yasukuni dori in Shinjuku, they carry the regional and collab boxes way longer than conbini do and nobody clears them out at 7am. for the seasonal conbini drops, timing matters less than luck, they restock a few times a week not daily, so one store might have nothing while the one two blocks over has a full shelf. just pop into whatever conbini you pass and dont treat it like a treasure hunt.
honestly the 7-Eleven at Nishishinjuku 5-chome is fine but its not some secret snack vault. the limited stuff rotates weekly and most locations in Shinjuku get the same seasonal Pocky drops at the same time. if you want the weird flavors, just check 3 or 4 conbini around your hotel each morning, the stock gets restocked overnight so like 7-8am is your window. the "legend" status is mostly twitter hype from people who happened to find one rare Kit Kat there once.

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?
if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping
kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.
tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
