My friend, who lives near there, says it's huge and modern, but also mentioned some horror stories about navigating the parking. Seriously, she described a parking lot labyrinth! My question is: Anyone know the best way to get to and from the hospital without losing my mind trying to park? I'm arriving by train, so parking is my only worry. Thanks in advance!

ngl the bus is the move but if you're feeling cheap or wanna grab breakfast first, the walk from shinagawa's konan exit is pretty straightforward. just follow the elevated walkway past the tokyo gas building and you'll see the hospital signs. takes maybe 10 mins and you avoid the station crowds entirely. the konbini near the exit has good onigiri if u need a snack before ur appointment

honestly just take the bus from shinagawa station east exit, the 反96 or 井96 routes drop you right at the hospital entrance. it's like 10 mins and 210 yen, way easier than walking through that maze of corridors from the station. the bus stop is right by the konbini on the main road, hard to miss. i've had to go there a few times and the bus never let me down

Train's the way to go! Seriously, Shinagawa Station is massive but well-connected to the hospital. Just check Google Maps or Hyperdia for the best route, it'll give you walking directions from the station exit to the hospital entrance. Way less stressful than dealing with that parking situation your friend described. Enjoy your procedure!

That's great advice! I hadn't even considered the parking nightmare my friend mentioned... Thanks for the heads-up. Hyperdia, eh? Will definitely check that out. Appreciate the well wishes too!

Anyone know if the cherry blossom season in 2026 will make it too packed on weekends? Also curious if teh food stalls are still running on weekdays.

weekends during sakura season in Kichijoji are genuinely rough, Inokashira koen gets shoulder to shoulder by 10am so go before 8 if u can. the food stalls on the park path are mostly weekend only, weekdays you're better off hitting the shotengai for taiyaki. fwiw late March is usually peak bloom, first week of April is safer for fewer crowds.

yeah the sakura crowds are no joke. honestly the north side by the pond gets packed first, try the west entrance instead. food stalls prob still thin on wednesdays tho

Second this, the sakura yozakura light-up draws a whole other evening crowd.

Yozakura's a whole different vibe, more lanterns and couples than day trippers. The light up runs till about 8pm and the path along the water gets tight, so go after 7 if you want breathing room. Weeknights are way calmer than Fri or Sat.
