Yodobashi Dai 4: Lost & Found?

My grandpa was a teacher there back in the 60s. He always told amazing stories about the kids and the school plays. He even mentioned a legendary lost and found, apparently, it held some seriously bizarre things. Anyone know if it's still a thing? I'd love to maybe peek in (respectfully, of course) and see if it's as wild as he described. It would be like finding a time capsule!!

the old sento is a good tip actually, the one on the corner of the main street near the school. if you go there you'll find a bunch of old neighborhood photos on the wall from the 60s and 70s. the owner's family has been running it for decades and they love showing off the old stuff. as for the school lost and found, i asked a teacher friend at a different yodobashi school and she said they usually donate unclaimed items to a local thrift shop after 6 months. so whatever your grandpa remembered is long gone but the sento is a solid backup plan for that time capsule feel

That's a specific memory. I live near Yodobashi and pass by Dai 4 sometimes. The lost and found isn't really a public museum or anything, it's just a shelf in the janitor's closet by the entrance. But the school itself has been renovated since the 60s, so the layout is totally different now. If you go during a school event or ask at the office very politely, they might let you stand in the genkan and take a photo of the building from the outside. The real time capsule is probably the neighborhood itself, the old sento on the corner has been there since the Showa era.

honestly the lost and found thing might be a stretch but you could prob ask the school office if they have old records or photos from the 60s. teachers back then sometimes kept weird keepsakes. worth a shot
