Haha, I feel you. That Family Mart onigiri selection is a minefield. My approach? Ignore the flashy new stuff. Go straight for the classics. The plain rice ones with salted plum (umeboshi) are almost always reliable, and the tuna mayo is a solid bet. If they have a seaweed salad filling, grab that. Don't overthink it – sometimes simpler is better. And honestly? Sometimes the slightly older ones are better – the rice is a little more firm. Just check the expiry time!
