How do they get… Stumbled across a instagram account with the most cringe rich white boy Japan content ever. They boast in being cancelled (I will have a look into why) and openly racist in one story!

So what i saw was two sometimes three American guys on a beach pretending to take drugs and sell them... Entire insta is glorifying drug taking. Thing is i bet they have never touched any in their life. Very odd.
Another post of theirs they are making fun of Japanese band names and calling them slurs... Terrible.
theres this guy who films himself doing that fake deep "japan is so spiritual" stuff in harajuku while wearing a kimono he clearly bought at donki the night before. always strikes the same pose by the same wall near takeshita exit. ive seen him block the whole sidewalk for like 20 minutes while his friend films him doing nothing. locals just walk around him like hes a trash can. honestly the most cringe part is he thinks hes being profound but its just a guy in a bathrobe standing still
the worst i saw was a guy in asakusa who brought his own fog machine and set it up near the sensoji main gate at like 8am. he kept doing these dramatic slow-mo walks through the smoke while his friend filmed from a tripod in the middle of the pedestrian path. an old oba-san just walked through his shot completely ignoring him and he got visibly annoyed. the whole thing felt like a parody of a parody but he was dead serious
Saw a guy in Shibuya last month doing a full photoshoot with a rented rickshaw and the puller was just standing there looking at his watch the whole time. The guy kept making the puller wait while he changed outfits behind a vending machine, three different costume changes for a ten minute ride. Worst part is the rickshaw pullers actually work hard and he was treating it like a prop for his content.

honestly the guide nailed it but i'd throw in nakameguro for anyone visiting in spring. the canal walk during cherry blossom season is insane, way less crowded than ueno or shinjuku gyoen. plus there's a killer onigiri spot called Onigiri Bongo that sells out by noon, and the area has a ton of tiny wine bars and vintage shops. rooms at the Claska hotel start around $120 and it's a quick hop to shibuya on the tokyu line

For cheap eats in that area, the basement floor of Takashimaya department store has incredible takeout bento boxes under 1,000 yen that beat most convenience store meals.
