Any areas with a few great record shops that are within a day trip outside of Tokyo that you'd recommend?

I will be returning to Tokyo this fall to DJ and record shop. I have a few extra days this trip to go record shopping and although I love shopping in Tokyo and probably still have some shops to check out, I was thinking of taking a day trip or two if anyone has any recommendations of some cities or towns that might have at least 3 solid shops that I could visit over an afternoon. I've tried searching google maps but it requires me to search a particular area and thus I feel like I could be missing out on some stuff if I am overlooking an area. Any recs would be much appreciated! I specifically shop for 45s (most genres) and just unique japanese comps and pressings. Overall I just love checking out new shops. Thanks so much!

kawasaki is worth a half day, its like 20 min on the tokaido line from shinagawa. disk union has a decent branch in the basement of the be building near kawasaki station & there are a couple of indie spots around ginza street that carry 45s, though stock skews city pop & enka. for straight up japanese pressings id actually go to yokohama instead, more shops clustered near kannai & isezakicho, easy to hit 4 or 5 in an afternoon

honestly kichijoji gets slept on for this. its like 30 min on the chuo line from shinjuku and youve got disk union, a couple of used spots in the sunroad arcade, and some tiny places tucked in the alleys near harmony alley that actually carry 45s. not a huge scene but enough to kill an afternoon and the neighborhood itself is way more relaxed than shibuya. fwiw the shops there lean jazz and rock more than city pop so its a nice change of pace if thats what u dig.

shimokitazawa is the obvious one but worth saying since nobody has, its like 15 min from shibuya on the inokashira line and the whole neighborhood is basically records & vintage. disk union, city country city, jet set, flash disc ranch all within walking distance of each other, and the little backstreet spots have tons of cheap 45s. go on a weekday if u can, weekends get packed

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
